Shankill FC girls has signed up to the UCD Waves player pathway

Waves South Dublin Community Initiative secure FAI Women’s National League License. Friday 23 November 2018 The Waves South Dublin Community Initiative are delighted to announce that we have secured the FAI Women’s National League License for the Senior League and u17 League. The license was secured through a competitive process and was supported by Enniskerry FC, Granada FC, Lakelands FC, Mount Merrion Youths FC, Shankill FC, Terenure Rangers FC and The SDFL (South Dublin Football League). We are thankful for their support and each has signed up to the UCD Waves player pathway which will be published on our social media channels. This pathway will be sustainable and will enable Girls from South Dublin to play football at the highest level. The support of the community clubs and the SDFL was critical in securing the license and this initiative will enhance local club relations and will grow the number of Girls playing football in South Dublin in line with the 20 X 20 Initiative to Boost Women's Sport by 20% by 2020. We look forward to the 2019 Season, ‘together we are strong’.
