Shankill FC - Covid 19 Update

Shankill FC continues to monitor ongoing developments in relation to Covid and how that impacts our ability to play football safely.

​

We are following the guidelines set out by the government and the FAI and we would urge our members to also adhere to these guidelines, supporting our teammates and coaches, so our children can continue to play football in a safe environment.

​

It is very important that both parents and children are fully aware of the latest “Return to Play” version 5 guidelines available:  

​

 

We would like to highlight to parents some key items:

​

• If your child is unwell or has any covid symptoms please do not allow them to train.

​

• Only one parent is allowed to accompany players to training. Parents, please wear a mask if you are staying at the training ground and adhere to social distancing of 2 meters at all times. 

​

• Please do not congregate around the entrance/exit of the Astro pitch.

​

• When training on the Astro please respect other players and wait for your coach to call the team on and off the Astro.

​

• Confirm to the coach if your child will/will not be at training so they can prepare the training session accordingly, adhering to Covid guidelines and restrictions.



• Remind your children to practice good hand hygiene, coughing, and sneezing etiquette.

​

• Please ensure your child sanitizes their hands before and after training.

​

• Please ensure your child brings their own water bottle and does not leave any property behind them as coaches will not be holding onto lost property.

​

At this stage, all membership/subs should be paid or signed up to a payment scheme. Due to health and safety, any players who haven’t paid their subs should not be training. If you have issues paying your membership please don’t hesitate to contact a member of the committee and we can discuss your options.
